Ben Tennyson is a typical 10 year old boy, well besides the fact that he is a superhero who wears an alien wristwatch called the Omnitrix which allows him to transform into alien cretures. Based on the popular Cartoon Network series, Ben 10: Protector of Earth, coming out for the Wii, PS2, PSP and DS, allows players to assume the role of Ben 10 as he saves the earth from Kevin 11 and the Forever Knights, who have teamed up with Vilgax who is bent on capturing the Omnitrix. The game takes place during a cross-country vacation with cousin Gwen and Grandpa Max and will include plenty of familiar locations both to viewers of the show and just regular people.
As Ben 10, you will be able to use the Omnitrix to morph into HeatBlast, FourArms, XLR8, CannonBolt or WildVine and depending on the situation, you may have to utilize different shapes at different times. Play style is typical platformer fare, so if you love the idea of hopping into the shoes of Ben Tennyson as he saves the world, while shooting, jumping and climbing your way through 14 levels and 5 regions of America, this just might be the game for you.
The game maintains an incredible authenticity by using an art style, music and sound effects straight from the show and all of the voice actors reprise their roles in the game, as well. Of course, you can collect Sumo Slammer cards to unlock bonus content from the show. This game is sure to please fans of the show and might just make a few new fans while it's at it. Look for it on the Wii, PS2, PSP and DS this Fall. |
