Fans of the young orange-clad ninja should be pleased with the three new Naruto games coming out this Fall, all of which take place during the Shippuden timeframe.

Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 continues the line of fighting games for the Wii into the new series with all your favorite characters returning a few years older. The story will follow the second series' start all the way to the Gaara Rescue Arc where Naruto and his friends try to save the newly named Kazekagi from the accursed Akatsuki. Clash of Ninja 3 keeps many of the features of the previous titles like paper bombs and hand gestures, but it also adds a ton of new characters and much more depth to make it more on par with other fighting games.

One feature TOMY added to this game was a handicap system that allows users to set levels of HP, Chakra Regeneration, Defense and Attack for each player. You can also toggle guards against special attacks and the requirement that a knock out be done only with a special attack. The line's tag system has also been given a bit of a lift since the user can now control both the main fighter and the tagged character and to top it all off, Clash of Ninja will finally support multiplayer fights over the Internet.

Another game ranging from Shippuden's start to Gaara's rescue is Namco/Bandai's PSP title, Naruto Shippuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising. This action-adventure game allows you to customize your character like never before in a Naruto game and will even allow you to take control of several Akatsuki members. Akatsuki Rising will feature 15 playable characters, a wireless co-op mode and plenty of new characters not seen in a Naruto title to date.

But one of the soon-to-be-released games will go beyond Gaara's rescue. TOMY's new DS game, Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2 will go all the way to Naruto and his team's fateful run-in with Sasuke for the first time in over three years. This 3D fighting game for the DS will include a dungeon crawler mode as well as new characters like Sai (Sasuke's replacement on Team Kakashi).

Needless to say, there are a lot of good things coming out for the Naruto series of games over the next few months, and fans of the new Shippuden show should be pleased by the characters they will be able to play as, as well as the storylines these games cover.
