Nyko's newest wireless PS3 contoller, the Raven, is designed to be a premium item, and will help you to cut your ties from your console (with a wireless range of up to 25 feet) and, with your choice of analog stick orientations, it may help gamers slice up enemies a bit easier, as well.
You can feel the high quality of the Raven as soon as you wrap your hands around one. The Raven features a silky-smooth, soft rubberized coating that provides a very comfortable grip. In addition to the outer coating, the Raven's unique ergonomic design aids in making it comfortable to hold. The Raven also features specially angled trigger buttons that help to keep your fingers from slipping off during heavy gaming. As I mentioned above, the Raven is a wireless controller. The wireless functionality is handled by the included USB dongle, which allows gaming from up to 25 feet from the PS3. Rounding out the features in this unit, you get built-in rumble and Multi-Axis direction control which is compatible with SIXAXIS functionality, fully analog buttons and control sticks, a built-in Lithium-Ion battery (for up to 25 hours of gameplay) which can be charged with any Mini USB cable (or Nyko's Charge Base 2) and your choice of either standard or alternative analog stick orientation.
That's right... there are actually two versions of the Raven available - Standard Analog Stick Orientation and Alternative Analog Stick Orientation. The Standard version has a similar layout to the original PS3 controller, where the analog sticks are both on the center part of the controller, flanked by the D-pad and the action buttons. The Alternative version moves the left analog stick to the outside, in a layout more familiar to Xbox 360 players. If you're planning on picking up a Raven as a gift, you should determine which analog stick orientation you want and make sure you pick up the correct one.
