(400) Days This Summer

Company: Telltale Games
Product: The Walking Dead: 400 Days

Telltale Games has announced a new installment to their hit The Walking Dead adventure game called 400 Days to be released this Summer for XBLA, PSN, PC, Mac and iOS devices.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days once again pairs the episodic game developers up with series creator/writer Robert Kirkman to chronicle the start of the zombie apocalypse with five new characters. Each character has their own unique, but interconnected story that can be played in any order. The connecting location of these stories is a Georgia truck stop that will put them in situations that only The Walking Dead can really deliver on. Much like The Walking Dead: Season One and most other related titles, these episodes are more about the choices the people make than the destruction and zombies surrounding them.

As an added bonus, The Walking Dead: Season One is being ported to the PlayStation Vita and will include 400 Days. The handheld version of the game will utilize the touch controls to help convey the point-and-click feel typically seen in PC-based adventure titles, which should be good since most adventure games don’t handle too well with a controller. Then again, I personally didn’t play this series on a console, so I don’t know exactly how well it translated to a gamepad.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days will be available for $4.99 as downloadable content connected to a player’s existing copy of Season One and requires at least the last episode from the previous season to be installed in order for it to run.
