Light Magnifier
Score: 100%
Developer: Blaze
Device Type: Accessory

Function:

The Blaze Light Magnifier is a cool little accessory that works both with your Game Boy and Game Boy Pocket. It greatly improves your ability to see what you are doing on-screen. If you have ever been in the situation where you look like you are doing a jig trying to get some decent visibility outta your Game Boy, then you know exactly what I mean. This wonderful creation allows you play a game without having to struggle to see it. Having used it once, it is now something I can?t live without (at least not comfortably). One point to note is that the unit can?t be folded down onto itself while attached to your Game Boy, which means that your Game Boy (Pocket) no longer fits in your pocket. So, take it off. A minor inconvenience for an otherwise great device.

Performance:

Just pop this baby onto your Game Boy and you?re all set. It?s so easy, anyone can do it.

The casing is made from heavy duty plastic, in Electric Purple no less (to perfectly match your Game Boy Color, of course). The unit seems well made, although due to it?s design, not made to be abused. Based on the fact that it is hinged and also has a clear plastic face that you wouldn?t want scratched, I?d exercise the usual cautions.

Features:
  • Magnifies screen by 40%
  • Dual screen lights for better visibility
  • Durable clear plastic casing in electric purple to match your GBC!
  • Works with other accessories like the Nyko Shock ?N? Rock

Drawbacks & Problems::

Well, the only thing I didn?t like about the Light Magnifier was the fact that it takes batteries. But I guess it?s a necessary evil so that your GB can be portable. Hehe. Perhaps I am just unreasonable. One other thing to note is that the unit can?t be folded up while connected to your GB. It must be removed for packing purposes. Just an observation.
