JetX2O is best described as being reminiscent of SSX, but on water. Trading in your snowboard for a Jet Ski, you must race other opponents to the finish line to claim your victory. But, if you know anything about SSX, you'll quickly realize that racing is only half the battle. Every time you break contact with your liquid track, tricks can be performed, and the reward comes in the form of boost, which, not surprisingly, makes you go faster.

The tracks are far from linear in JetX2O. The convoluted courses will offer loads of replay value, as many of the shortcuts are hidden. Huge jumps and cliffs adorn the tracks as well, giving the game an 'extreme' edge.

Graphically, JetX2O is more than impressive. The wake effects in the water alone will capture most people's attention. Riders, skis, and courses are all modeled in beautiful 3D, almost becoming a distraction to look at while you're whipping down the course at breakneck speeds.

Ski fans, speed freaks, or anybody looking for a good racing game should keep their eyes open for JetX2O. Even from this watered down demo version, it looks as if the game could take its genre by storm. If you're tired of the same old same old, check it out later this fall.
